Atwood/Oglebay 2021 - Please respond SOON if you have not already

Duffers,

We need to know who is in and for how many nights. Most of you have left your money with the committee and remain on the list of attendees for this year. If you have not already, please reconfirm that you will be attending and for the number of nights. (Please respond by January 30th at the latest)

For those of you who committed and paid last year but then requested a refund you will need to commit again and send in $70.

For those of you who couldn’t make it, for other reasons, before we cancelled please let me know if you have interest in attending this year. While attendance is somewhat limited mostly due to cabin availability, we will put your name on the waiting list.

You can respond to jnf56@hotmail.com or lference@yahoo.com.

What we need most right now is to know who is in and for how many nights. Most of you have left your money with the committee (boy is that bad judgement) and remain on the list of attendees for this year. Please reconfirm that you will be attending and for the number of nights. (Please respond by January 30th at the latest)

While we are in unprecedented times it’s good to know that we can call upon one of the historical foundational pillars of Atwood for guidance.

Little is currently known about the Science, Health, Information & Technology (S.H.I.T.) wing of the Atwood Foundation beyond the committee. Unbeknownst to most they have, over the years, provided valuable information and guidance towards the knowledge, health and wellbeing of its tournament participants. These are some of their highlights:

Provided valuable statistical information (velocity, proper angle, distance and ultimately the disintegration of the woodchuck) for the “How far can you chuck a woodchuck”

Golf Statistical Regression Analysis, i.e. How many Ference’s can whiff on the opening tee? (All of them) or how many times can Rudy whiff on the Cardiac Hole tee box? (5, thus earning the nickname Cinco de Maya).

Who can forget the Emergency Response Team’s fast action in coming to the aid of “Pickled Herring” who finished the tournament in a hospital bed instead a bed six feet in the ground?

While we expect to play in an environment that has been similar to years past, S.H.I.T. is currently researching into how to best play a tournament in a Pandemic. Here are a few ideas that they are looking at.

You can respond to jnf56@hotmail.com or lference@yahoo.com.

Insincerely,

X

The Committee 2.0
